The Fort Collins Wind Symphony was established in 1991 with the intent of bringing this musical repertoire to life for the music lovers of northern Colorado. The purpose of the symphony is to provide an opportunity for professional quality musicians to perform wind music in a concert setting and to provide the public with educational and cultural enrichment for the appreciation of the wind symphony repertoire.

In our brief sixteen year history, we have grown in reputation to be considered one of the premier wind groups in Colorado. In 200o we were selected to perform for the National Convention of the American School Band Directors held in Aspen Colorado.

For the first five years our season consisted of two concerts. Now, we are proud to present three concerts with the full ensemble, and numerous concerts that feature only the woodwinds, or brass ensembles.
